Bray, Co. Wicklow has been named by Time Out magazine as one of the most underrated destinations in the world for the second time in a row.
The publication cited Bray's Victorian seafront, the 800-foot high Bray Head and the famous Harbour Bar as attractions to visit in the underrated destination.
The 24 destination long list aims to highlight overlooked destination where visitors can avoid major crowds amidst rising concerns about over tourism.
Bray was presented as the last but not least destination on the list having been described as once "The Brighton of Ireland".
The listing reads: "It was the arrival of the railway in 1854 that made Bray, just twelve miles south of Dublin, so popular it became known as the Brighton of Ireland. After years of decline, its mile-long Victorian seafront now buzzes with cafés and restaurants".

Time Out suggests that readers: "Stroll from the harbour along the esplanade to the 800-foot high Bray Head, worth the hour’s climb for panoramic views from its rocky summit. Refuel at Butler & Barry on the beach, before a Guinness at ace local institution the Harbour Bar".
The list includes tropical island, bijou city destinations and breathtaking mountains.
Bray was one of a handful of European destinations on the list, presented alongside Sibiu, Romania, Karpathos, Greece, Srebrenik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turku in Finland and Plymouth in England.
Coming in at number 1 on the list was Finlandia Colombia which the publication proposed as an alternative to visiting the overrun Salento.
