Both the free day-time event, This Wonderful World: A Day for Wellness & Joy, and the ticketed show, This Wonderful World: The Concert, will be going ahead in the new venue of Kildare Innovation Campus.
As a result of the upcoming Status Red weather warning, issued by Met Éireann in response to Storm Éowyn, a new venue has been announced for this Saturday (January 25)'s This Wonderful World day-time and evening events. Both events – which are presented by Kildare County Council and Hot Press, as part of the Brigid 2025 Festival Programme – will now take place at the Kildare Innovation Campus, located just down the road from the original venue, The Wonderful Barn, in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
The star-studded line-ups remain the same – with the Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick, Darina Allen, Jess Murphy and many more set to appear as part of the free This Wonderful World: A Day for Wellness & Joy event during the day, and the ticketed evening concert featuring the legendary likes of Mary Coughlan, Orla Gartland, Camille O'Sullivan, Lisa O'Neill and Ham Sandwich.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome visitors from across the country and beyond to experience everything this festival has to offer," Sonya Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Kildare County Council, said. "Brigid 2025 is a unique opportunity to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Kildare, with a programme that blends intimate performances, large-scale public celebrations, and a series of community-focused events."

Friday's storm force winds, with incredibly powerful gusts forecast, would have made it impossible to safely build the infrastructure required for the festival activities on Saturday – so, with people's safety the paramount consideration, the decision was made to move the event, in its entirety, to the nearby facility.
“The Wonderful Barn is a brilliant location,” Hot Press editor Niall Stokes said, “and we were really looking forward to being there for This Wonderful World this coming Saturday. What we have planned, with Kildare County Council, is a free day of wellness and joy, followed by a more formal ticketed concert in the evening, featuring some of Ireland’s finest women artists.
“The good news is that we are really fortunate to have found a fantastic alternative venue, in the shape of the Kildare Innovation Campus – which is also in Leixlip and can accommodate everything that had been planned for the Barn, whether indoors or outdoors, in complete safety. We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone there. It is going to be a great adventure."
Free parking will be available at the Kildare Innovation Campus in Leixlip.
Here's all the information about both events – taking place this Saturday, January 25, at the Kildare Innovation Campus:
