The English singer is "devastated" and "heartbroken" after a fatal shooting in Copenhagen claimed the lives of three people hours before his show.
Harry Styles is "heartbroken" and "devastated" after a fatal shooting in Copenhagen led to the cancellation of his concert.
The English singer was due to take to the stage at the Royal Arena venue on Sunday night, mere hours after the shooting at a nearby shopping centre took place.
Danish police responded to a shooting at the Field’s shopping centre less than a mile from the Love on Tour venue, which is situated on the southern outskirts of the city. Three people have allegedly died from the incident, with many other injured.
Taking to Twitter, Styles said he was "heartbroken" and "devastated for the victims".
"I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen," he said. "I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love. I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H."

Danish police have now said there is no indication a shooting at a Copenhagen shopping mall was terror related. Police were called at 5.37pm and 11 minutes later a 22-year-old Danish man had been arrested after being detained near the site.
A statement from concert promoter Live Nation said: "Tonight’s(July 3) concert with Harry Styles has been cancelled by direction of the Danish Police.
"We are all truly devastated by the events of today and our thoughts are with the victims and their families. We are looking into future possibilities for the show, and hope to be able to give ticket buyers direct information as soon as possible."
Large crowds of fans had already gathered inside the arena when the performance was cancelled.
Following the fatal shooting, the Danish royal palace announced it had cancelled a reception with Crown Prince Frederik tied to the Tour de France. The reception was due to be held on the royal yacht in Sonderborg, the town where the third stage of the race ended this year.

The previous One Direction crooner was due to take Love On Tour global in 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic brought the live music industry to a halt.
The rescheduled tour began in Las Vegas in September of 2021, travelling across the US, before the European tour leg kicked off in Glasgow last month.
At a press conference this morning(July 4), Copenhagen chief inspector Soren Thomassen said one of three people killed was a Russian citizen living in Denmark, while two Swedes and two Danes were critically wounded.
Thomassen added that the gunman who opened fire most likely acted alone and selected his victims at random.
The chief inspector said while the motive was unclear, there was nothing suggesting terrorism, and that the suspect would be arraigned later Monday on preliminary charges of murder.
