The Dublin band paid a surprise visit to their local school to hand deliver new album CEOL 2018.
The album is a compilation of popular songs recorded by their original artists in Irish. It was curated by presenter Eoghan McDermott and features a wealth of Irish talent. Stars Saoirse Ronan and rapper Macklemore read the spoken-word opening of the CD while artists such as The Coronas, Picture This and Kodaline featuring with recorded songs.
To celebrate CEOL 2018's release Kodaline paid a visit to Loreto College, Swords yesterday with copies of the album. The band also treated students to a live performance and posed for pictures with them afterwards.
The albums are part of the initiative to promote the Irish language across the country, particularly within the arts. Danny O'Reilly, from The Coronas said: "I hope that our song Nilimid Breagach (We Couldn't Fake It) on CEOL 2018 and all the other amazing tracks on the album will inspire people to use more Irish, especially this year during Bliain na Gaeilge."
We launched #CEOL2018 in Loreto College, Swords today.
