Best thing about Ireland?
Johnny B: The craic with the
people. They’re not the politest, but they’re the best underneath it. I also love the West of
Ireland. Climbing mountains
and staring out into the ocean
– I could do it all day…
Best town?
JB: Bar our hometown, I’ll say Dingle.
Johnny Smacks: I’d go with
Killarney. It takes some beating!
Best restaurant?
JB: The Shamrock Lounge
(Cahir, Co. Tipperary)
JS: I’m with you on that. Homemade dinners just like my nanny made!

Best pub?
JB: Between Moloney’s
(Poulmucka, Co. Tipperary) and Foxy John’s (Dingle, Co. Kerry).
JS: I’d have to give the Dublin ones a shout-out: Ryan’s
(Camden St, Dublin 2), The Boar’s Head (Capel St, Dublin 1) and Devitts (Camden St,
Dublin 2).

Best place to get away?
JB: I was in Donegal recently, and I climbed Errigal. That part of the world is amazing.
JS: I went to West Clare. There was no phone coverage, which was good for me, because I’m addicted to my phone. So it was a good escape!

Best spot for swimming?
JB: Our nearest would be Clonea in Co. Waterford.

What would you recommend tourists do in Ireland?
JB: A couple of days in Dublin, and then get away. Go West. I did Connemara and Clifden recently, and it was amazing. Also, the Ring of Clare – that’s the unsung hero of Munster! Up through Kilfenora, and down around the Cliffs of Moher.
JS: That, and a spicebag. Keep it real…
