New Irish alcohol-free spirit Fire&5th aims to re-invent how people socialise
Fire&5th Chilli and Blood Orange is designed to provide the warmth and fire of spirits without the alcohol.
Since the pandemic, people are leaning more into self-care and healthy living than ever before. Young people are just as likely to meet friends for a walk or lunch outing as they are for pints.
A new wave of not questioning your friends for turning down drinks has emerged on social media - with infographics taking over the web. This has brought forth a new market in the form of alcohol-free options.
Que Fire&5th - a new alcohol-free spirit unlike any other on the market. Instead of mimicking a particular type of alcohol, Fire&5th have created a whole new product designed to replace the heat and kick of most spirits. Chilli, ginger and black pepper create an unexpected but satisfying warmth that makes you feel like you’re having a drink whilst
ginseng, guarana & green tea come together to release their natural benefits and create a new type of buzz.
Fire&5th comes recommended with a sophisticated serve, over-ice, mixed with ginger-ale and garnished with an orange slice.
This new take on the alcohol-free market was created by Mary and Aonghus Maguire who saw the need to disrupt and innovate the category. Speaking about this new release, Mary said: "Fire&5th is something truly unique at the forefront of the next generation of non-alcoholic drinks. Currently no/low options are doing a great job in helping people feel part of the occasion by looking like an alcoholic drink. We’re going beyond this by delivering a taste experience that means you really don’t miss the alcohol."
Beyond Ireland, the opportunities in the non-alcoholic category are endless, with Aonghus speaking of the category, saying:"We know that globally the non-alcoholic category is growing faster than any other category within alcohol. This excited us and when we looked at what was available today, we felt that there was real opportunity to be innovative in terms of the taste and experience."
The Fire&5th team are on a mission to "re-invent how people socialise", claiming Ireland can "expect to see lots more of this brand in the future" as they continue to innovate the alcohol-free category.
Fire&5th Chilli and Blood Orange is available online at www.fireand5th.com and in SuperValu stores in South Dublin as part of the Food Academy programme as well as select off-licenses and bars in Dublin.
