This new docuseries follows Manchester United’s treble winning season.
On May 17, Prime Video will release their new three-part docuseries entitled 99 to mark the 25th anniversary of when Manchester United won the ‘treble’, meaning they won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.
The series will recount the ten days in 1999 when Manchester United won these three trophies. This was the first ‘treble’ in English football history. The series is being created by filmmaker Sampson Collins.
99 will include interviews with team members Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham, Andy Cole, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Teddy Sheringham, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Dwight Yorke and more.
The show will be a three episode series which each episode dedicated to a different trophy. It will also highlight the aftermath of the ‘treble’ such as how Manchester United became a global brand, how Sir Alex Ferguson became a renowned manager and the rise of Beckham’s stardom.
99 will not only focus on the overall story of the team winning the ‘treble’ but it will also highlight parts of the players personal stories and how they dealt with the pressure of winning and how it impacted their lives.

John Battsek’s Ventureland will produce the show in association with Studio 99 and Buzz16.
