Dublin designers Tyrrell and Brennan have a reputation for exquisite cut tailoring and glamorous occasional couture. They have a diverse range of clients including heads of state, film and music personalities (Mary McAleese, Enya, Kirsten Sheridan and others).
For each collection, the couturiers use quality luxurious materials from around the world. Their attention to detail, traditional couture techniques and personal service ensures each garment is uniquely crafted.
A native of Ballinasloe, Niall Tyrrell says: “I was always creative as a child and my sisters and mum loved fashion. I was surrounded by women dressing in the latest trends. It seemed natural for me to study fashion.”
After graduating from the National College of Art and Design, Tyrrell worked in London with renowned couturier Victor Edelstein. The designer also spent time in Paris with established fashion Houses Balmain and Rochas.

Drawn together by their mutual passion for sophisticated design, Tyrrell and Donald Brennan began to collaborate. Their striking pieces have earned high-profile fans, such as those listed above. “
We love to work with luxury fabrics such as silks, laces, cashmere and the finest wools. To create a great silhouette we believe in very good tailoring techniques incorporated into the design, whether it’s a long diaphanous gown or a great tailored jacket. The challenge for us is for the design to stand the test of time.”
Tyrrell and Brennan are working on an accessory line of kimono-inspired shrug jackets, tailored ponchos and easy over-garments. They operate on an appointment only basis from their Dublin showrooms. Their made-to-order service includes a one to one consultation where one can choose from the sample collection. see tyrrellandbrennan.com
