Smooch Ice Cream have announced a Family Fun Day for the Jack & Jill Foundation, taking place on July 6 in Cork’s Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
The summer-themed event will feature a variety of activities, such as giant Jenga, snakes and ladders, arcade basketball, a DIY ice cream station, hook a duck, a photobooth, face painting and more.
All proceeds from ticket sales and donations—both on the day and through iDonate—go directly to the Jack and Jill foundation.

The organisation was founded in 1997 by Jonathan Irwin and his wife Mary Ann O’Brien (founder Lily O’Brien’s chocolates), in memory of their son Jack who suffered a brain trauma shortly after birth that left him developmentally delayed.
Thanks to the help of a team of local nurses and friends, they were able to look after Jack at home until he passed away just short of his second birthday. Jack’s home nursing care regime would become the blueprint for the Jack and Jill model of care, which has since helped more than 3,000 families to care for their children at home, where they belong, supported by specially-trained nurses and carers.
