His is the 2,651st star on the Walk of Fame.
Ahead of what will be the 25th anniversary of the release of his seminal debut album Doggystyle this Friday (November 23rd), legendary west coast rapper Snoop Dogg was yesterday honoured as the recipient of his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony was held yesterday along the famous Californian walkway, with a range of notable faces present that included the likes of Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams, Jimmy Kimmel and the decorated record producer Quincy Jones.

"Last but not least - I want to thank me," quipped the 47-year old. "I want to thank me for believing in me. I want to thank me for doing all this hard work, I want to thank me for having no days off. I want to thank me for never quitting. I want to thank me for always being a giver and trying to give more than I receive. I want to thank me for trying to do more right than wrong. I want to thank me for just being me at all times. Snoop Dogg, you're a bad motherfucker."
This followed a more modest portion of the speech from the rapper, where he credited the influence of Jones (who introduced him to the stage and referred to him as "not just an artist and entertainer, you are a visionary") and admitted he hopes he can provide similar inspiration and guidance for the younger generation of rappers today.
"He (Jones) has always been like a mentor to us, been like a big brother to us, helping us understand we needed to be more positive and instrumental with our voices," said Snoop.
"Now I'm looking back on it I can say I am thankful for Quincy being who he was for trying to tell us to get our lives right, be more positive and more productive because now that I'm a positive and productive man I can walk around more peaceful, more happy"
After making mixtapes in his early years as a rapper alongside his cousin Nate Dogg , Snoop Dogg announced himself to the world with Doggystyle, with the record debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and having gone on to sell well in excess of 10 million copies worldwide since its 1993 release.

The rapper has since gone on to transcend the hip-hop genre, becoming one of the most recognisable faces in wider popular culture today. On top of his extensive discography and seventeen Grammy nominations, he has had cameo roles in films such as Training Day and Starsky & Hutch, numerous television shows, the most recent of which being the VH1 series Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party that he hosts alongside Martha Stewart, and in October released his own cook-book titled From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen.
