Tech Review: GTK-PG10 (Sony)
Sony’s GTK-PG10 is a colossal prospect in comparison to the XB12, yet no less portable. This wireless speaker would suit indoor parties or outdoor barbeques. When the top panel is closed, the speaker projects front-facing sound. When it’s open, the tweeters spread a wider circumference of sound.
Alongside Bluetooth connectivity, you can plug data into its USB port, or tune into its FM radio. The PG10, which will set you back a cool €299 from Sony.ie, is splash proof, runs on 13 hours of battery, and has onboard drink holders that bring the Riviera to Roscommon.
Despite looking like a prototype Terminator helmet, this speaker is light enough to prevent spinal injury. It can pop on top of a tripod for broadcast at weddings and bar mitzvahs.
8/10
