Pavel Barter reports on the latest Samsung phone.
Galaxy S23 Plus
Samsung’s S23 Plus falls squarely between the compact S23 and larger S23 Ultra. Like most middle children, it is at risk of being ignored. The €1,249 (from Harvey Norman) price point is one reason to turn your attention to its siblings, although there’s no doubting the magic beneath this Plus-sized model’s 6.6” frame. The 1080p display, supported by a 120hz refresh rate, spills out vibrant, colourful video. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip makes for fluid and snappy scrolling through Instagram and Reddit feeds, and the stereo speakers dish out delicious audio. With 256 or 512 GB of storage, and 8GB RAM, there’s oodles of storage too.
Three lenses make up the camera: a 50MP sensor, 10MP telephoto, and 12MP Ultrawide. On the front: a 12MP sensor selfie cam. At this price, however, it might make more sense to save up for an S23 Ultra with its better camera and S Pen peripheral.
