With the discontinuation of the Dublin Bus app, TFI Live, presented by the National Transit Authority, is promoted as the primary source of information about transportation in Dublin.
Transportation in Dublin is getting a make-over.
The official Dublin Bus app, which was last updated over six years ago, is being removed from the app store on May 16th. To replace it, the National Transport Authority has developed TFI Live.
Commuters are advised to switch if they haven't already, given that not only will the TFI live app be the only source of recent and reliable information, but the current app will stop working May 23rd.
According to Dublin Live, a spokesperson for Dublin Bus added: "The TFI Live app will be the only app for up-to-date reliable information, and we are pleased to be supporting one public transport app."

The current app has a relatively poor reception. With a rating of 1.8 stars on the app store, sourced from 15 ratings and reviews, it generally seems to be riddled with glitches.
The most recent review dates back to three years ago, although since the app hasn't updated since it can be assumed it retained the more meddlesome bugs detailed in the reviews.
In comparison, TFI last updated a month ago. Although there are no ratings or reviews yet posted, the summary of its latest update assures changes to improve functionality since originally launching.
"The updates will help improve the stability of the app and ensure responsiveness remains consistent as usage increases."
