One of the most revered venues in the capital, over the years the Olympia has hosted the iconic likes of – deep breath! – James Brown, David Bowie, Radiohead, Blur, PJ Harvey, Suede, Manic Street Preachers, The Pixies, Queens Of The Stone Age and much, much more. Among the standout moments in 2017, meanwhile, were LCD Soundsystem’s memorable three-night run, and a superb brace of shows by St. Vincent. A wonderfully atmospheric room with impeccable sound, the Olympia is also a second home for some of Ireland’s top artists, with the likes of Picture This, Bell X1 and The Coronas all turning in superb performances over the years.
