It has finally been announced that The Weeknd will be the face of H&M’s upcoming line in menswear.
The Weeknd, one of the world’s most celebrated artists and performers has previously collaborated with H&M for their Spring 2017 collection, so now the two are set to embark upon their second fashion endeavour together and launch another line for autumn. The range includes bomber jackets, jersey tees, alongside minimalist shirts and trousers. However, the highlight of the collection is the casual college jacket in black and purple decorated with a large W, which fits stylistically perfect for the spring collection.
"I had a great time selecting my Spring Icons at H&M. I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers," the singer said in a press release. He added: "Every piece is both effortless and fresh, which is just how menswear should be."
According to H&M's designer Andreas Löwenstam, The Weeknd's vision and style was a perfect match for the brand. "He has such a great eye for the little details that matter and for mixing together updated men's classics for the perfect tailored streetwear look," he said.
