Vera Pauw has named her final squad of 23 players to feature at the Republic of Ireland Women's first major tournament, who will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia on July 20.
Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw has named her squad for next month's Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
In a viral video which had amassed over one million views by lunchtime on Twitter, Pauw named her 23-player squad.
Ireland fly out to Brisbane on Friday, July 7 to set up camp, the day after the friendly against France at Tallaght Stadium.
Arsenal midfielder Katie McCabe has been confirmed to captain the squad in their maiden major tournament, with their first game against co-hosts Australia on July 20.

18-year-old Abbie Larkin, who plays for Shamrock Rovers, will be travelling to the tournament, while Ruesha Littlejohn has also been selected after her release from Aston Villa at the end of the season.
As anticipated, some talented players unfortunately have not made the cut, and defenders Aoife Mannion and Megan Campbell will be missing out on the tournament due to injury. Manchester United defender Mannion had a brace removed from her knee on Monday having tweaked ligaments during club training last month.
Liverpool striker Leanne Kiernan, who has struggled with an ankle injury this year, has also missed out on a spot despite playing against Zambia last week.
Pauw told Sky Sports News in a recent interview that they had tried their best to include many injured players, "but unfortunately the timing is not on our side".
"It is so hard to tell players you break their dreams," Pauw said. "They were devastated, of course. My heart is with the players who have not made the squad."
The video announcement has since garnered support from famous faces across Ireland, including comedian Dara Ó Briain and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. The clip depicts a young girl playing football and emulating her heroes while the squad is unveiled in graffiti style writing on walls.
