Check out the dazzling live music video to Ro Yourell's 'Mary', a scintillating track lifted from his recent debut album Commencer, below.
Ro Yourell - the former frontman of the noughties Irish rock band Delorentos - has unveiled a scintillating live video to one of the singles from his debut solo album Commencer, out now. Hot Press' Jillian Iredale said the album "offers a barebones narrative of aspects of life in the modern age".
'Mary' opens with a bright wash of piano and warm guitar to cast a prismatic halo over the soundscape. Its lyrics sees the artist explore the thin line between fantasy and reality. In the live version, Yourell’s voice is joined here by that of singer/pianist, Fanni Fagerudd, resulting in otherworldly harmonies. Joining the artist on stage are Fagerudd on keys and backing vocals, Killian Corless on lead guitar, Ruby Levins on bass and Cam Teehan on drums.
The video, directed by Shane Langan, follows Yourell as he performs the wonderous 'Mary' live at the Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Check it out below.
