In a fortnight when Irish musicmakers produced so much noteworthy new music we had to devote this whole damn section to their output, no-one made more of a splash than Blanch MC Lethal Dialect, who previewed his forthcoming 1988 album with a striking piece of jazz-driven hip hop and accompanying seaside video. Thoughtful, determined and fearless; ‘13 ‘Til Infinity’ is about as honest as rap gets.
