21st Century (Digital Boy)
21st Century (Digital Boy) by Bad Religion
Bad Religion: “21st Century (Digital Boy)” (Dragnet/Sony)
Bad Religion: “21st Century (Digital Boy)” (Dragnet/Sony)
Those of you who know your pop history will know that the title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the legendary Marc Bolan’s ‘Twentieth Century Boy’. By and large this Bad Religion tune maintains that titular flippancy in order to mask a serious attempt to critique the surrender of humanity to technology. Bad Religion succeed in keeping the debate of man versus machine viable and relevant. No mean achievement that.
