After releasing the first two singles, 'Gave Myself' and 'Critical', Damola officially drops his new EP, Safe today.
Today, Dublin rapper Damola releases his highly-anticipated EP, Safe. The project is a short tale of a man's struggle between good and evil. Taking the listener through an emotioal journey in just three tracks, Safe documents the mind and character of an unstable man seeking help from God and man.
Back in October, the rapper dropped the EP's second single, 'Critical', which describes his journey as a musical artist and expresses his desire to win going forward, over an experimental trap instrumental.
After emerging in the scene in 2008, Damola has become one of the most convincing voices in the Irish hip-hop boom. After a string of well-received singles, the Dublin rapper created Safe as a new era of his musical journey.
Previous singles ‘Glory’, ‘Workflow’, ‘Snoozing’ and this year’s ‘This One’ garnered significant buzz around Damola and earned him coveted spots on Spotify’s New Eire playlist, as well as airplay on 98fm, RTE 2fm and RTE Pulse. His diverse approach to his music has also resulted in lauded collaborations with the likes of Katie Laffan and Local Boy. He was also a member of the BackShed Inc music collective, which also featured Sam Ojo, Ange MC and Ama.
