Kilkenny electro-pop duo 49th & Main have their latest single ‘Can’t Walk Away’ (featuring A Little Sound), which debuted on BBC Radio 1 last night.
“Probably our favourite song we’ve ever made,” said the band on a recent Instagram post. “We stepped into the studio. Looked at the piece of paper. The paper looked back at us and said write on me lads, write on me.”
Paddy King and Ben O’Sullivan are also set to embark on their biggest UK headline tour to date this November. taking to stages in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle and Edinburgh, with an appearance at London’s Outernet venue also scheduled.

Since forming four years ago, the pair have enjoyed a formidable rise, earning 105m streams, Choice Prize nominations and slots at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury in 2022. Nonetheless, the band have faced significant obstacles as of late, with O’Sullivan having been diagnosed with a rare blood disease called aplastic anaemia. A press release has since described the 25-year old as being “in full recovery”.
