A Lazarus Soul have released a new music video for their song ‘The Dealers’, as well as releasing the song as a single.
The video was directed by Irish filmmaker and musician Myles O’Reilly, and is a continuation of the topic explored in the song- the traders of Moore Street.
Announcing the release in a post on social media, A Lazarus Soul described O’Reilly’s video as a beautiful celebration of diversity and inclusion, which they say are “true Dublin values.”

The video opens with an interview with Diarmuid Breathnach of Save Moore Street, an organisation dedicated to objecting to plans to demolish the street in favour of a shopping centre.
As the music starts, it is accompanied by archival footage of the activity on the street, as well as footage of the modern-day markets.
In a statement, singer Brian Brannigan described his fascination with these “Strong working-class inner-city women, who were the breadwinners in a time of high unemployment.”
“I loved the vibrancy of it all as they brought Dublin alive with their sales pitches, Apples 5 for a pound,” he said.
The song was initially released as a part of their July album No Flowers Grow in Cement Gardens, which debuted at number 9 in the Official Irish Albums Chart, and number one on the Independent Albums chart.
