Soul-pop musician Calum Agnew has announced a gig at Whelan's upstairs venue in Dublin on May 8.
The announcement follows the singer's sold-out concert at Whelan's Main Room earlier this month, and the release of his latest single, 'Anymore', through independent record label Rubyworks.

Agnew won Hot Press' A New Local Hero award in October last year, which came with €5,000 in prize money and a further €5,000 worth of recording, mixing and mastering at Dublin's Camden Recording Studios.

"I was honestly overwhelmed," Agnew told Riccardo Dwyer in a recent Hot Press interview. "When they were announcing the winner, I had a double vodka in my hand. I was ready to just say, 'You know what? This was a lovely experience'. Then they called out my name. I couldn't believe it."
The Duleek-native debuted in 2020 with his single 'Crazy', quickly becoming a stand-out part of the Irish music scene.
He performed his first sold-out headliner at the Beehive Bow in London the following year, and has since appeared at Electric Picnic, Whelan's Ones To Watch Festival, and supported artists like Róisín O and Tolü Makay.
