A new documentary "Beautiful Dreamer: Brian Wilson and the story of SmiLE" will be given a special screening in Dublin this month followed by a Q&A session with Brian Wilson and the director
Brian Wilson fans are in for a very special treat this month, when the Temple Bar Music Centre hosts a screening of the new documentary, Beautiful Dreamer, followed by a Q&A session with director David Leaf and the man himself, Brian Wilson.
Taking place on Tuesday June 28 ahead of Wilson's Vicar St. performance, all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Chernobyl Children’s Project. Tickets are priced at €20 and go on sale this Friday, June 10, from the TBMC box office and the usual outlets nationwide.
Entitled "Beautiful Dreamer: Brian Wilson and the story of SmiLE" the documentary includes never before seen interviews with Van Dyke Parks, Roger Daltrey, Sir George Martin, Elvis Costello, Jeff Bridges, Jimmy Webb, Lou Adler and Burt Bacharach, amongst a host of journalists, producers and musicians.

Described as "one of the most sympathetic music documentaries ever made" by the Boston Globe, Beautiful Dreamer features behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Smile and insightful interviews with its creator, Brian Wilson, who reportedly makes "candid admissions about his mental health and drug use over the years".
Daring types can try their luck at sourcing more admissions in the Q&A session which follows the film screening. A list of questions that are perhaps best avoided can be found in the transcript of Peter Murphy's recent interview with Brian Wilson (Click here).
