Abba Announces New Music To Be Released 'September or October'
Pop icons Abba have revealed tentative dates for their new music to be released.
In tandem with American Idol creator Simon Fuller, Abba announced they had recorded two new songs for a "Virtual Abba" experience, which are set to be released this fall.
Though the tracks were initially scheduled to be released late last year, the band experienced a series of delays, pushing the release date back several months.
Now a year after the original announcement, band member Bjorn Ulvaeus has stated that at least one of the new songs will be released "in September or October."
The new songs, entitled “I Still Have Faith In You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down”, mark the first musical endeavour from the Swedish band since they split up more than 35 years ago.
Ulvaeus told Denmark’s Ekstra Bladettabloid (via the Associated Press) on Wednesday that “it takes an extremely long time” to make a video with the avatars of the group members.
The music will prevail the digital avatar tour which is also slated to begin this year.
