An 80s rock legend, White has written and produced for The Zombies, Dire Straits, Colin Blunstone and many others.
Legendary rock producer and songwriter Chris White released a new album of collaborations titled The Chris White Experience (Volume Four) today.
First on the tracklist is ‘Do You Want to Make Love,’ a song he created with Irish musician Francie Conway in 1981.
Now an instructor at the Ballyfermot College of Further Education, Conway is a rock star with a long history. As a member of the Kerry band CLUTCH, he achieved national recognition in the 1970s.
Later, he met White in Spain—a lucky coincidence which led to a contract with RCA records in London. Working with White, he released several hit songs, including ‘To The Edge of Time’ and ‘One Night in Amsterdam.’
Around the same time, White was also working with the Zombies, Dire Straits, Argent, Colin Blunstone, Duffy Power and Doris Troy, among other talents.

Unreleased or rare recordings of many of these artists feature alongside Conway on White’s new album. There’s a track with Argent called ‘Alexis, You’re a Circus’ and a track with Duffy Power called ‘Hummingbird.’
In 2019, White was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work as a producer and songwriter for the Zombies.
