This August, Munich will host Adele in a "one off, bespoke pop-up stadium"
This summer, Adele is set to make her way to Germany, where she'll play a special residency at Munich Messe – in a specially constructed 80,000-capacity open-air venue – on August 2, 3, 9 and 10.
When Adele released her fourth album, 30, she did not tour it worldwide – she instead decided to embark on her current 'Weekends With Adele' residency in Las Vegas, and also played two London shows in 2022.
However, she will now perform in mainland Europe for the first time since 2016. When Adele announced the residency over Instagram she wrote in the caption:
“So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows. I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans. However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea - a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on?
“I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer," she continues." Guten Tag babes x”
