English darling Adele and Canadian singer The Weeknd were the big winners at last night's event
There were two stand out winners at last night's Billboard Music Awards. Global icon Adele took home four awards, while the R&B performer The Weeknd won eight awards.
Adele was named Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album 25 and Top Selling Song 'Hello'. The Weeknd was crowned as Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album, Top Streaming Song and Top R&B Song.
Other winners included Britney Spears for the Millennium Award, and Celine Dion was honored with the Icon Award. Performances on the night came from Kesha, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Madonna and Stevie Wonder, who performed a tribute to Prince.
