Endless Affair is set to drop March 17th, before she embarks on a US, UK and European tour. The upcoming album is available for pre-order now.
Indie-rocker Ailbhe Reddy has released her new single, ‘Last To Leave’ today. Her new album Endless Affair, is scheduled for release in March.
‘Last To Leave’ is a hypnotic lo-fi journey of love, romance and embarrassment.
Speaking on her latest single, Ailbhe says, “It's about having an infatuation with someone who you find frustrating and watching as they make a fool of themselves at a party, while knowing you might be doing the same thing.”
Her previous singles have been heavily backed by Spotify editorial, appearing on New Music Friday UK, Fresh Folk, Wild + Free, A Breath of Fresh Eire, Summer Indie, Morning Coffee, Easy, Rainbow, The Indie List and Shockwave- to name a few.
Her media presence includes appearances on RTÉ Radio 1, 2fm, Today FM, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 1. Last year, Reddy closed out 2022 with a performance of ‘Shitshow’ on Ireland’s The Late Late Show. Her appearance was complemented by coverage of the up and coming singer-songwriter by acclaimed publications such as Irish Times (50 to watch in 2023), The Times (Best New Tracks), The Line of Best Fit (Album of the Week), Pitchfork, Clash, The Irish Times, Nialler9, Hot Press and Dork.

Ahead of Endless Affair, which is due out March 17th, Ailbhe is on the road, performing a number of intimate shows around the United States and the UK, starting with New York’s The Dead Rabbit on February 3rd, culminating at SXSW in Austin, Texas. After the US, the artist will return to the UK, where she now lives, embarking on a tour of the UK, Europe, and Ireland. She is due to finish up with back-to-back Dublin dates in Whelan’s Main Room on Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th.
Endless Affair's central idea centres around the challenges we face in letting go and accepting finality. The musician expresses this through a spectrum that ranges from the playful and up-beat, to the sombre and heart-wrenching, mirroring life's own evolution from the care-free to the serious.
Opening tracks 'Shitshow’ and ‘Inhaling’ reflect on the wilder side of youth from a viewpoint that's quickly growing smaller in a rear-view mirror. The album's centrepiece, 'Shoulder Blades' signals that the palpable struggle to let go, is shifting from the backdrop of the party, and into that of relationships and mortality.
From there, the album matures into a story of certain endings and letting go of life. Its penultimate 'Pray For Me'- penned after the passing of the Ailbhe's grandmother- starkly lays out the singer's songwriting capabilities. Endless Affair straddles the line between emotional honesty and vulnerability, whilst expressing youthful stupidity, anger, defiance and heartache.
