Dublin-based musician Ailbhe Reddy has been making huge waves since the release of her debut EP 'Hollowed Out Sea' in 2016.
Compelling Irish songstress Ailbhe Reddy has returned with a brand new single alongside Sacred Animals, titled 'City Unfolds'.
The understated track infuses atmospheric piano melodies with Reddy's captivating vocals, paralleling a darkened background sound and violin harmonies.
Wexford native Darragh Nolan, AKA Sacred Animals, makes a major impact on the direction of the track.
Nolan is now a prolific producer for other artists with his studio name, Asta Kapala, featuring alongside tracks from Ailbhe Reddy, Jackie Beverly, Kobina, Molly Sterling, A.Smyth, NNIC and many more. Sacred Animals also released the riveting 'Mono' and 'Maya Liminal' as singles back in 2019.
Reddy's astonishing 2020 album Personal History is up for RTÉ's Choice Music Prize Album of the Year at tonight's ceremony. Other artists that feature on the shortlist include Pillow Queens, Fontaines DC, Bitch Falcon, Denise Chaila, JyellowL, Róisín Murphy, Nealo, Niamh Regan, and Silverbacks.
In her Hot Press review of Reddy's debut LP, Lucy O'Toole wrote:

"Informed in no small part by her studies in psychotherapy, the record is unflinchingly honest and captivatingly human. Realist lyrics tenderly explore modern life and all its associated joys, disappointments and confusion – following Reddy as she navigates everyday life as a young, queer artist in Ireland."
Ailbhe was also selected by Music From Ireland to perform at the upcoming online SXSW Online festival alongside fellow Irish acts Aoife Nessa Frances, Just Mustard, Rachel Lavelle, Pillow Queens, and Tebi Rex.
