Morrissey’s former guitarist and once principle songwriter, Alain Whyte is set to perform three dates across Ireland before 2023 is out.
English musician, songwriter, composer and singer Alain Whyte has worked with the best of them, from Madonna to Morrissey, to Black Eyed Peas to Lil Yachty.
However, this December, Whyte is set to tour Ireland with his own material, performing headliners in Cork, Dublin, and Belfast.
Alain's Whyte's shows will feature a set list full of original alternative tunes as well as some co-written/performed by the band with Morrissey during their respective tenures.
Alain Whyte is probably best know for his work with the ever controversial frontman of The Smiths, who played a sold out show in Vicar street this July.
Whyte and Morrissey have collaborated on all of the musicians albums between 1992 and 2009, including albums such as Vauxhall and I, You Are the Quarry, and Your Arsenel.

For his first solo Irish tour, Whyte has enlisted the help of one of his fellow Morrissey luminaries; Craig Gannon former guitarist for The Smiths.
Two of the headliners, the Cork and Belfast ones, will feature support from special guest Keeley.
Keeley, the former Session Motts lead singer returned in October 2020 after a long absence with her debut solo single ‘Last Words’. She’s since assembled her own eponymous psychedelic indie pop outfit who released their debut Brave Warrior EP in 2021.
In 2023 she released her LP 'Floating Above Everything Else', a blissful buffet of psychedelic and dream pop.
Alain Whyte is set to play Belfast on the 29th of November, Cork on December 1st before closing out his first ever Irish tour with a night at Whelan's Dublin on the 2nd of December.
