Sparhawk also announced an upcoming tour to support the album.
Minnesota native Alan Sparhawk has announced his first solo album White Roses, My God, out on September 27.
The first single off the upcoming LP, ‘Can U Hear’ was released today, with a video directed by Rick Alverson.
Though White Roses, My God is Sparhawk’s first solo project, he is no stranger to the music industry, boasting a 30-year career as a guitarist with the band Low.
Hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, Sparhawk formed Low in 1993 with his wife Mimi Parker. Releasing 13 studio albums, the group disbanded in 2022 when Parker passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Their final album, 2021's Hey What was released by record company Sub Pop, and earned a nomination for the 'Best engineered album' at the 64th Grammy awards.

White Roses, My God features production from fellow Duluth native, Nat Harvie, who worked alongside Sparhawk on the LP.
As well as the album reveal, Sparhawk has announced an accompanying tour, beginning on November 2, at Opium, in Dublin.
After his Irish gig, Sparhawk will perform in Leeds, Cardiff and London before heading on an 8-date tour of the United States.
