Having already racked up hundreds of thousands of Youtube views and streams, ALKY is poised to make his highly-anticipated live debut in March.
Hotly tipped indie-rocker ALKY has unveiled details of his keenly-awaited debut concert at Whelan’s on 9th March.
ALKY’s latest single ‘All Because Of Love’ dropped in October and the music video has already accrued in excess of 300,000 views to date.
‘All Because of Love’ boasts a poignant reflection on the price of love when it becomes a hindrance to personal growth. Each chorus reflects the frustration of picking partners who repeat past hurts, highlighting the chaos that stems from these recurring patterns of unhealthy attachments.

ALKY - aka Barry Reid - began his career as a music producer and audio engineer, earning an Emmy nomination in 2018 for his work on Pete The Cat, a high-profile animated TV series for Amazon Prime, which featured music by Elvis Costello.
In 2023, he shifted his focus to songwriting, stepping out from behind the mixing desk to embrace his own artistic identity. His debut single, ‘Dirty Tricks’, which dropped in August 2024, marked his official arrival as a solo artist. Since then, he has garnered over 100,000 streams on Spotify across three singles.
Tickets for ALKY’s live debut at Whelan’s start from €12, including booking fees, and are on sale now here.
