ALT BLK ERA, sisters Nyrobi and Chaya Beckett-Messam, told Hot Press in a recent interview that Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha is "definitely our vibe."

"Oh my god, yeah, we've been following her on Instagram for quite a while!" Nyrobi said when asked about Rocha. "Seeing the people she dresses is really impressive and definitely our vibe."

Rocha has designed clothing worn by a variety of high-profile names, including Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Billie Eilish, Fontaines D.C. and The Murder Capital.

Nyrobi went on to talk about her other fashion inspirations, which included German designer Karl Lagerfeld, the Hong Kong-born designer Robert Wun and British fashion pioneer Vivienne Westwood. She added that "Simone is up there too."

The sisters have long held an interest in fashion, as Chaya explains she had previously wanted to be a designer herself and how fashion has influenced their presence on stage.

"One of my career choices when I was younger was to be a fashion designer," Chaya said. "Me wearing black and Ny wearing white is the Ying and Yang of our personalities and adds to the theatre of our performances."

"We want to lean into that even more and start adding props to our shows," she added.
