Since becoming recognised for her work in Dresden Dolls, the American dark cabaret duo also containing Brian Viglione, Palmer has become known for activism and crowd-funding, with a TED talk under her belt to boot.
From that TED talk, her book 'The Art of Asking: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let People Help' was born, which explores the difficulties of asking in her own personal life and in everyone's life generally. 'The Art of Asking' was a commercial success, making the New York Times Bestseller list.

The event will take place at the RDS Concert Hall on May 26 and tickets, starting at €18, are available at ilfdublin.ticketsolve.com
