Folk trio Amble have added two extra dates at Millennium Forum, Derry, on August 27 and 28 due to high demand.
Amble, made up of Robbie Cunningham, Oisín McCaffrey, and Ross McNerney, have recently announced their highly anticipated debut album Reverie, set for release on May 23. Last week, they unveiled the album’s first track, 'Schoolyard Days'.
The announcement follows a massive demand for tickets, with most of their Irish dates being sold-out. The list of Irish dates include:
- June 19 - King John's Castle, Limerick
- July 5 - Trinity College, Dublin
- July 16 - Festival Big Top, Galway
- July 17 - Live at the Marquee, Cork
-
July 31 - Live at the Breakwater, Wexford
- August 22 - Custom House Square, Belfast
-
August 26 - Millennium Forum, Derry
Reflecting on their rapid rise, Robbie Cunningham told Hot Press: “Maybe we were quietly confident in the background, but we definitely never expected it to happen this quick.
“I thought when Amble started, that if we ever made the Olympia, it would mean we’ve done seriously well. I wasn’t thinking that we’d sell out three of them in a year.”
