The rapper recently shared 'Charmander,' the lead single from the project.
American rapper Aminé dropped his brand new mixtape TWOPOINTFIVE today (November 5).
The record clocks in at just under 30 minutes but packs a punch in its short run time. Aminé delivers tongue in cheek bars coupled with insightful musings on authenticity over infectious beats.
In a recent interview with Apple, the Oregon artist describe the more relaxed approach he took when creating the record compared with 2020’s Limbo:
"I worked a lot on Limbo," he said. "It was almost mentally tiring for me because it was a lot of rewriting of verses and a lot of trying to construct this body of work that really hit a certain like line that I was trying to hit. And for this new stuff, I'm just trying to have fun. I don't care what anyone thinks."
The 27-year-old shared his first mixtape ONEPOINTFIVE in 2018 between his debut album Good For You and Limbo. Aminé explained in a press release that the mixtapes offer him the chance to express himself freely.

"The POINTFIVE projects are the breaks in between albums," he said, "where I give myself the freedom to make music without expectations, focusing instead on spontaneity and the best of what comes from stream of conscious creation, which is why they arrive unexpectedly without a long rollout."
Aminé recently released ‘Charmander,’ the lead single for the mixtape. The talented artist executive produced the project along with Maaly Raw, F1lthy, and more.
