New Label AMS Records to Launch in Dublin Tomorrow
New alternative music label AMS Records will celebrate its official launch tomorrow night (August 8) at The Sugar Club, Dublin.
The brainchild of Dublin music college BIMM's Ann Marie Shields, the label has already released the debut single by Side 4 Collective ‘The Flood’ featuring Bell X1's Paul Noonan and The Frames's David Hingerty. They also put out the tracks ‘Fragile’ by Vernon Jane and ‘El Cohen’ by Shelley Bukspan.
“Ireland’s music scene is thriving at the moment, and in no small part thanks to the role that BIMM has played in bringing a huge amount of talent together. The industry in Ireland is coming together to support independent artists, and I aim to be an important part of that with AMS. The label is not genre specific but what the artists have in common is a progressive, innovative attitude," said Shields in a statement.
The launch night will include performances showcasing the label's acts Vernon Jane, The Creators, Shelley Bukspan, Side 4 Collective and Selk.
Admission to the launch is €10 and there are a limited amount of tickets available for a €5 Early Bird rate. To purchase them, see sugarclubtickets.com
AMS Records will operate under the umbrella of worldwide physical and digital distribution and label service company Alternative Media Services.
