The upcoming release will be Amy's third EP, following on from 2022's is that all there is?, and 2023's felicity stories.
Mullinger artist Amy Michelle has released an anthemic new single, ‘Atrophy’, as well as announced her upcoming EP Nothing Holy is Free, set to drop February 25.
The second release from her forthcoming EP, ‘Atrophy’ was written in the summer of 2023. Discussing the single, Amy explains: “I decided to watch a comfort movie I used to love based on teenage angst and how much it’s romanticised. Watching it caused certain memories and relationships from that time to resurface. I wrote the chords, melody and lyrics that night.”
Amy also shared an open letter which explores the themes of the single.

Discussing the full EP, Amy said: “To me, it means worshipping something or someone coming with a price. The title track provided me with a vessel to express the emotions that were begging to be released for so long. The words flowed out of my subconscious and it was my first step toward regaining my worth.
“A lot has changed in my life since I’ve last released music and I really think that’s depicted in this new EP. It’s hard to share these stories but I wear my heart on my sleeve, and if these songs can help just one person feel less alone, that’s the most important thing to me”.
