The singer, songwriter and producer released her third EP after moving back home to Ireland.
Amy Michelle has released her new EP NOTHING HOLY IS FREE.
The Mullingar-born artist scheduled a launch show at Dublin’s FLUX on March 8. Tickets are available now.
“To me, ‘nothing holy is free’ means worshiping something or someone comes with a price. The title track provided me with a vessel to express the emotions that were begging to be released for so long. The words flowed out of my subconscious,” she said.
Michelle wrote the EP after moving home to Ireland, following a year spent living in London.
“Being back in the comfort of my childhood room inspired me to start writing again. London did a lot for me, but I felt disconnected from my creativity. Being back home, I got to reflect on everything I went through and put it all into a new perspective,” she said.
The artist has experience opening for musicians like Kodaline, Aurora and Niall Horan at his 3-show run at 3Arena. Her track ‘welcome to the sidelines’ from the 2022 EP is that all there is? was featured on the hit Netflix show Heartstopper.

“A lot has changed in my life since I’ve last released music, but I really think that’s depicted in this new EP,” she said. “It’s hard to share these stories but I wear my heart on my sleeve, and if these songs can help just one person feel less alone, that’s the most important thing to me.”
The latest six-track EP was produced by Joseph Rodgers.
“All Joseph and I needed was a laptop and a couple of instruments, we travelled around a lot and worked wherever we could. It was a really different process to my previous work, I feel like I really let my guard down and was overcome with a sense of creative freedom.”
