This is not the first show with this lineup: in the last year, Winehouse's former band and Shandé have been touring as a tribute all across Europe. The Amy Winehouse Band will play three Irish shows later this year: at Castlebar in Co. Mayo on 20th October, The Limelight 1 in Belfast on 21st October, and Gleneagle INEC Arena in Co. Kerry on 22nd October. You can find tickets to those shows here.
Winehouse's band had accompanied her since the very beginning of her career, all the way through to her tragic death in 2011. Praised for her beautiful vocal ability and her authenticity, her passing sent shockwaves throughout the music industry and beyond.
Presale tickets will go on sale this Thursday, 14 September, on what would have been her 40th birthday. General sale begins the next day at 10am. You can find more information here.
