3 Stacks enjoyed the local talent while chatting with fans.
Rapper from Outkast and actor André 3000 was spotted with his now trademark flute at a Portland open mic night yesterday.
Although he did not perform, the iconic musician from Atlanta watched the entire night, chatting with fans occasionally during the show.
A fan posted about her encounter with André Benjamin on social media, at first not realising who she was speaking to.
"Coolest thing ever tonight!" she wrote. "I went to an open mic event at a park and saw someone with a unique looking double flute.
I commented on how cool it looked and chatted with this super nice, chill dude for a minute before going to sit in the grass.

It wasn’t until after I’d sat that someone whispered to me, 'you know who that is, right?' It was Andre 3000!"

Although Outkast hasn't released new music since 2006's Idlewild, André 3000 has become known for his stunning guest appearances on other artists' tracks, ranging from Frank Ocean to James Blake.
Unfortunately for fans, he has no plans to release more solo material after a surprise drop in 2018 on Soundcloud of two songs featuring his flute skills.
"I haven’t been making much music, man," he told Rick Rubin on the producer's Broken Record podcast.
"My focus is not there. My confidence is not there. I tinker a lot. I’ll just go to a piano and I’ll set my iPhone down and just record what I’m doing, moving my fingers and whatever happens, but I haven’t been motivated to do a serious project. I’d like to, but it’s just not coming."
