Listen to the new EP from Andrea Corr below.
Ringing in the festive season, Andrea Corr has released a stunning new four-track EP, Christmas Songs – featuring moving renditions of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', 'O Holy Night' and 'In The Bleak Mid-Winter', as well as an original track 'Begin Again'.
The release was inspired by Andrea's visit to Our Lady's Hospice in Harold's Cross, Dublin last year – where she sang a selection of her Christmas favourites.
“These are songs that I grew up with," she says. "My father played 'O Holy Night' in our church every Christmas Eve when we were kids. We had been planning this record since my visit to the hospice last year—and then the world changed, and the lyrics took on a whole new and special meaning.”
Since rising to global attention as the lead singer of The Corrs, Andrea Corr has built up a reputation as one of the country's most treasured artists. Over the course of her career, she has topped charts around the world, received an honorary MBE and found major success as a solo artist.
Last year, Andrea graced the cover of the Hot Press Christmas Issue – and discussed her acclaimed memoir, Barefoot Pilgrimage. Revisit her cover story interview here.
