Tickets for his upcoming UK/Ireland tour are on sale now.
Andy White has announced a new live album The Night Is Approaching Though Some Would Say It Was Morning, set for release on May 30, 2025, via Floating World Records.
White will embark on a UK/Ireland tour from May 8 to June 5 to promote the record. The tour includes stops at Belfast's Crescent Arts Centre on May 8, at Derry's Sandino's on May 11, and at Dublin's Whelan's Upstairs on May 13.
Recorded live at the legendary Abbey Road studio, the Belfast Troubadour's new LP includes songs from throughout his career, including 'Religious Persuasion', 'James Joyce's Grave', 'Street Scenes From My Heart' and 'Italian Girls on Mopeds'.
The Night Is Approaching Though Some Would Say It Was Morning also features an unreleased song 'Theresa Theresa'.
"The story of the live album begins with the friendship between Andy and producer John Leckie (The Bends, Muse, Roy Harper)," Hot Press is told.

"After one of Andy’s concerts, John told him he wanted to buy an album of what he had just heard. A solo album recorded live," with "no band" and "no overdubs," and recorded at Abbey Road.
On July 14, 2023, they both met at the famous studio. "John got his first job there in 1970. The day of his interview the Beatles were wearing suits, getting ready to cross the road.
"When (John) took Andy down the stairs into Studio Two, he told him to stop and smell the room. Nothing had changed since those great records had been recorded. You could feel it in the equipment, the fabric, the floorboards."
The Night Is Approaching Though Some Would Say It Was Morning will mark White's first release since 2024's Good Luck, I Hope You Make It.
The new full-length comes 40 years after the release of White's debut EP Religious Persuasion.
