Plus – Denise Chaila, Hazey Haze and Post Punk Podge react to the All-Ireland win.
Following Limerick's victory over Kilkenny in yesterday's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship – marking their fourth consecutive win – a major homecoming is planned for Pery Square in Limerick this evening, July 24, with performances from Anna's Anchor and more special guests.
"Anyone that is a fan of this band will know how much this means, but myself & Clare will be playing at the homecoming of the hurlers in Pery Square," frontman Marty Ryan wrote on Twitter. "Can I please get the loudest 'For The Parish'?!?!?"
The Limerick City band released their latest album, The Merries, earlier this month – featuring Marty, alongside Brian Scally on drums, and Clare O'Brien providing backing vocals, as well as lead vocals on the project's closing track.

Some of Limerick's top artists have also shared their reactions to the All-Ireland win.
"Four. Four in a row," Denise Chaila wrote on Twitter. "Dunno what to even do with myself"
When one commenter suggested that the rapper – who recently opened for Sampa The Great in London – "write a song about it", Denise responded:

Another one of the city's hip-hop heroes, Hazey Haze, also shared his response to the victory on Twitter.
"Remember when everyone looked down on Limerick??" he remarked. "Like only a few year ago? Now half of ye claim it..."
And finally, a message from Limerick icon Post Punk Podge...
