The event, streaming on BBC Four will be broadcast from 8pm to 11pm
It has been announced that Irish DJ and broadcaster Annie Macmanus (Annie Mac) and Huw Stephens will be hosting the 2024 Hyundai Mercury Prize awards show on September 5 at Abbey Road Studios.
The ceremony includes performances from Lilly Allen, Florence + The Machine, Everything Everything and Jorja Smith.
The Dublin-born host is known for her music shows on BBC Radio 1 and her bestselling novel Mother Mother. She is a DJ and has collaborated with London producer Melle Brown to deliver dance single 'Feel About You'. Macmanus also has a podcast Changes which she hosts on Spotify.
Among the nominated albums is Dublin Singer CMAT's Crazymad, For Me which is in the running for the prize, amidst the likes of Charli XCX's Brat and Nia Archives' Silence Is Loud.

CMAT is the only Irish artist nominated this year. There's yet to be an Irish winner since the prize's conception in the early nineties. She says in an Instagram post that her nomination "is it is so wildly exciting and genuinely unexpected."
The winner of this year's Mercury Prize will be announced in a televised ceremony on September 5.
