It’s official: we have entered a golden age of Irish music. With a dazzlingly diverse selection of talent on offer right across the country, homegrown music has never been so exciting – as evidenced by the highly competitive shortlist for this year’s Readers' Poll.
Every year, we invite our readers to have their say on their favourite Irish album, debut album, track, venue, musician, live act, group, most promising act, electronic act, hip-hop act, folk act, comedian and DJ, plus all their highlights on the international front.
Last year saw Picture This picking up three awards, for Best Group, Track of the Year and Best Live Act, while Gavin James won Album of the Year with Only Ticket Home. See the full list of winners here.
The nominations have been pouring in since January – and now we can proudly reveal our star-studded shortlist!
We also asked for nominations for a select number of "Of the decade" categories and a pleased to reveal them to - but remember when you're picking them think from 2010-2019 not just the last 12 months!
