The Hot Press Lockdown Sessions entered a new phase earlier this week, with the launch of The Y&E Series – supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
Following stellar performance this week, Hot Press is thrilled to announce next week's line-up for The Y&E Series.
In the weeks to come, the series will continue shine a light on some of the best new and emerging talent that Ireland has to offer in 2020. The Y&E Series will see 40 acts across 40 consecutive nights joining Hot Press on Instagram for a special live performance to be broadcast to Ireland and the world.
Ireland is overflowing with fresh musical talent – but the Coronavirus pandemic has had a severe impact on the forward march of young and emerging musicians. The Y&E Series aims to support this remarkable new music generation by delivering 40 paid gigs to 40 acts over 40 days, thanks to the support of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Friday, June 19: ROE
Roe is the acclaimed twenty-year-old multi-instrumentalist making waves with her unique brand of self-styled ‘grumpy electro pop’. She recently performed the Snow Patrol album Final Straw with Gary Lightbody and Rossborough.

Saturday, June 20: Sion Hill

Following a landmark 2019, which saw the release of their acclaimed debut album, The Young Will Eat The Old, alternative hip-hop duo Tebi Rex continue to forge a legacy as one of the country’s most thrilling emerging acts with a string of genre-bending releases.
Thursday, June 25: Jordan O’Keefe
With sold-out headliners and a duet with Ed Sheeran under his belt, Derry singer-songwriter Jordan O'Keefe continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Friday, June 26: Tara Lee
Drawing influence from the likes of David Bowie, Massive Attack and Blondie, Tara Lee has built up a reputation as a captivating performer, singer-songwriter, producer and actress – releasing her powerful project Noir last year.

Saturday, June 27: Doppler
The brainchild of Jamie Mulrooney, a former winner of the coveted Clancy Brothers Songwriter Competition, acclaimed collective Doppler returned after a hiatus with the irresistible new single 'A Memory' earlier this year.
Sunday, June 28: Anna Carmody
Born in Galway and raised in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Anna Carmody has already earned comparisons to the legendary likes of Amy Winehouse and Dolores O'Riordan, with her stunning, indie-folk-flavoured sound. Her highly anticipated debut EP is expected in early 2021.
