Scottish pairing Arab Strap have announced their new album I'm totally fine with it 👍 don't give a fuck anymore 👍, out May 10, 2024 via Rock Action Records. Accompanying the news is the LP’s disco-infused lead single ‘Bliss’.
“It’s about women being terrorised online; it’s about cowardice and bigotry,” said the band’s Aidan Moffat on the song. “It’s about how we expose ourselves on social platforms while hiding alone at home. But you can dance to it too!” Alongside the track is a video directed by award-winning, Glasgow based director Ains.
I'm totally fine with it 👍 don't give a fuck anymore 👍 is set to examine the “urgent, timely themes, such as conspiracy theories, online addiction, and the forgotten souls of our seemingly connected planet,” with what Moffat describes as “a quiet anger” and love for “the tangible world and intangible world.”

The band have also announced a series of live shows across the U.K with tickets going on general sale at 10am on Friday, January 26.
Arab Strap marked the end of a sixteen-year hiatus in 2021, releasing their seventh studio album As Days Get Dark. They've also recently wrapped up a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1998 album Philophobia.
“The tour’s been fun, but I’ll be glad it’s over so we can move on,” said Malcom Middleton. “The Philophobia gigs have been a way of saying goodbye to the old us,” added Moffat. “It was a very gentle, quiet tour, so I expect this year we'll just be playing banger after banger – I think we've earned the right to make some noise now.”
