The 'thank u, next' singer has revealed more details on social media regarding her upcoming fifth studio album.
In true Ariana Grande nature the singer announced her upcoming release date and the entire track list without any warning. Gear up for Friday 8 February as Grande plans to drop her fifth album, which will include 12 tracks. Her latest singles 'thank u, next' and '7 rings' feature on the album, with 'imagine' setting the tone as the opening track.
Grande has mentioned in previous interviews that she wants to drop music like a rapper does, when she feels like it and on her own agenda. In an interview with Billboard, the singer explained her ideology, “My dream has always been to be — obviously not a rapper, but, like, to put out music in the way that a rapper does. I feel like there are certain standards that pop women are held to that men aren’t,” Grande continued.
“We have to do the teaser before the single, then do the single, and wait to do the preorder, and radio has to impact before the video, and we have to do the discount on this day, and all this shit. It’s just like, ‘Bruh, I just want to fucking talk to my fans and sing and write music and drop it the way these boys do. Why do they get to make records like that and I don’t?’ So I do and I did and I am, and I will continue to.”
The singer has hinted the other tracks on the album will also celebrate independent, single women. When one fan noticed the album launches a week before Valentine's Day, she joked "you gon get everybody pregnant".

Grande had another idea in mind, hinting the album would do "quite the opposite". She later confirmed the theme for the album by retweeting a fan's guess that it will "make everyone single". Grande cheekily added "happy valentine's day", adding fuel to the fire.
Fans are already speculating which single will be released next. Tracks 'needy' and 'NASA' have been been spotted in music videos for 'breathin' and '7 rings'. Grande has been posting about NASA on social media since 2014, but is sharing her obsession more and more regularly. This morning the artist uploaded a video to Instagram which resembles outerspace, suggesting 'NASA' will be dropping soon.
Ariana Grande will be playing the 3 Arena on 22 September 2019. These hot tickets were sold-out within minutes in Ireland.
